Starting immediately, the City will allow Homeowners, Residents, and Business owners into town so they can inspect, repair, and clean-up their properties. We ask that all owners to inform the police department should they smell gas, see any electrical problems, or any other serious issue that would pose a threat to safety.

Access to the island is for the security of individual properties and businesses only. There is to be absolutely no sightseeing within Sea Isle City as police will be strictly enforcing the law with regards to this point. As of this message, the S of E is still in effect as clean-up, road, and utility repairs are still ongoing throughout the barrier islands.

Thank you in advance to your cooperation and understanding of our position. It is in all our best interests that we follow these procedures and restore the town as quickly and safely as possible.

Sea Isle City, NJ Mandatory Evacuation Sunday 10/28


Dear Sea Isle City Homeowners,

We have just received official notification that due to the impending storm "Hurricane Sandy" there will be an official evacuation of Sea Isle City as follows:
 
Saturday, October 27, 2012, there will be a VOLUNTARY EVACUATION. It is encouraged that residents and visitors prepare to leave the city. It is recommended that residents secure or remove all outdoor items that can be blown away with high winds and or flooding. If your property is on a low level it is recommended that you elevate any items on the ground floor! If you will require a handyman to assist with preparing your property and or securing your outdoor items, feel free to contact any of the names/numbers provided at the bottom of this email.
 
On Sunday, October 28, 2012 there is a MANDATORY
EVACUATION OF SEA ISLE CITY BY 9:00PM!!  This is mandatory and every person MUST adhere and leave the island. All bridges and access roads in and out of Sea Isle City will be CLOSED at 9:00PM Sunday and no one will be permitted to enter or exit the island after that time.
 
They are forecasting this to be a LARGE STORM. Please prepare and take these official notifications seriously. We repeat that EVERYBODY MUST BE OUT OF SEA ISLE CITY BY 9:00 pm SUNDAY NIGHT AND ALL BRIDGES WILL BE CLOSED. Please prepare AHEAD OF TIME and begin planning as soon as possible.
